IL NOSTRO MAESTOSO PINO D'ALEPPO
La leggenda racconta che venne piantato da Turghud Alì, o Dragut, (Bodrum, 1485 – Gozo, 25 giugno 1565),
è stato un ammiraglio e corsaro ottomano succeduto al temuto Barbarossa.
Nel 1564 lanciò ripetuti assalti e saccheggi all’ attuale Civezza (cit. Wikipedia).
L’eroica resistenza della popolazione del piccolo paesino passò alla storia.
La Leggenda racconta che Dragut l’abbia piantato proprio qui dove nella caletta sottostante denominata oggi “Barbarossa”
ebbe attraccato il suo veliero ( unico luogo senza torri fortificate di avvistamento) e invaso la gloriosa Civezza ripetutamente.
Leggenda o realtà noi lo amiamo incredibilmente per l’energia e saggezza che emana.
